Hello All,
I'm planning on keeping you updated through a monthly newsletter - If you would rather not receive one, please reply stating so.
Events
Challenge Central is now an affliated running club with the ARC (Affiliation of Running Clubs) which will enable you to save money on future races. When signing up use: Club - Challenge Central, Team - Challenge Central.
Well done to all those who competed in the Dragon Boat race - second fastest time of the event and beaten to the final by dodgy decision! For those of you who haven't seen the video - Dragon Boat Video
There is another dragon boat event in Cambridge in September, I am just gauging interest at the moment - We will need a 16 person team and £3000! Let me know your thoughts.
We have already completed in two running events this month - Whipsnade 10k and St Albans Half Marathon, congratulations to the best bests achieved by a number of you. See Photos
Next event is July 5th - gunnersbury park 10k
Also looking at a London Duathlon (Sep 11th) and the Fairlands Valley Challenge (July 19th) for those of you looking for more extreme behaviour.
Health and Fitness Testing Day
I will now be running a health and fitness assessment day once a month. It will be free to all clients and £10 for none clients. This will enable me to keep track of progress more efficiently and evaluate our current training sessions.
The first testing day will be on Saturday 4th July at 12pm, please let me know before then if you plan to attend. More information
3 Peak Challenge
It's been a long time coming but I am now ready for another 3 Peak Challenge! I am looking at a weekend in mid august, possibly the 15th to run the challenge. I would like to get between 3 - 6 teams at a range of abilities. Please let me know asap if you are interested in being involved.
Social
Thanks to all of you who attended the social drink on Friday at the granby, it's great to get you all together. I will pencil the 24th of July in for the next one, let me know if this suits or not.
Thanks for reading, see you all soon
