Programme
All of my Fitness Programmes have 3 levels of intensity to accommodate different fitness levels. All of the levels are based around the pricincples outlined below.
The SportFit programme is designed for those taking part in sport. Each sport places different demands on the body depending on the movements of each sport. Although the movements will differ from sport to sport, I have taken the mostcommon sports movement and put them into a circuit.
All sports require a good cardiovascular system and most are stop/start which requires high intensity/low intensity training rather than just continuous training.
Interval training is the most effective way of increasing CV functioning and it can be tailored to the intensity of your sport. Using a heart rate monitor as part of the training is a great way to measure the intensity zones.
An example of the SportFit programme is outlined below
Cardio - Interval training 1:1 (1 Minute at 60% MRH 1 minute 90% MRH)
- Treadmill
- Rower
- Bike
- Climber

Resistance - 15 Reps, No Rest, 3 Laps
- Lunges
- Power Press Ups
- Box Jumps
- Burpees
- Pull Ups
- Squat Jumps
- Sit Ups
